Note
I express life’s preciousness and affections for each and every different life through art. Numerous dots contain figures of the people that I have come in contact with directly and indirectly. Although these dots are all in sequence(each value), each piece has different shapes and sizes and forms(each singularity) which leads to harmony and oneness in consistent pattern. I hope this could be not just an abstract pattern but more of awakening time looking back on one’s life for preciousness, and I want to tell the beauties of each different life. - 2016, Soohyun Yee
삶의 소중함과 각기 다른 삶에 대한 애정을 그림을 통해 표현한다. 수많은 점들은 나 자신과 직간접적으로 관계를 맺은 사람들의 삶의 모습을 담고 있다. 이 점들은 일정한 배열(각자의 가치관)로 되어 있지만 작품마다 다른 모양과 크기, 형태(각자의 개성)로 서로 조화를 이루고 일정한 무늬로 하나를 이루고 있다. 그저 하나의 추상적인 문양이 아닌 자신의 삶을 돌아보며 소중함을 깨닫는 시간이 되길 바라며, 제각기 다른 삶에 대한 아름다움을 알리고 싶다. - 2016, 이수현
