Lost in the city
The city where pain, despair, joy and happiness coexist and cross me is may not the ideal place. Contemporary cities may be separated from each other by differentiating their lives according to the role of a given space rather than a vessel that resembles life.
Now, look around me now. Beyond the wall of this free bustle, there is a space dominated by simplicity and straightforwardness. That is my city. The country has a reality of life in a city that has opened its closed space. Today, I meet people and the world in this city.

My work resembles me so terribly.
I am troubled and confused every time in recklessness, challenge, anxiety and confidence, responsibility and freedom. But first of all, I want to be a person who finds reasonable thinking and creative beauty before becoming a writer. Lost in the city
나의 집은 위태롭다.
얇고 나약한 나의 집은 깨질듯하지만 동시에 ceramic의 단단한 물성을 보여준다.
평면적인듯하나 입체적이며 내밀하고 정형화되어 있지 않으나 특유의 정체성을 지닌다.
공간은 실재the real하는 삶으로 나에게 도시는 보고 듣고 만지고 거닐고 머무르며 만나고 헤어지고 웃고 우는 경험으로 인지되어 기억 대부분의 배경이자 일부분으로 스며들어 있다.
현대의 도시는 삶을 닮아내는 그릇이기보다는 정해진 공간의 역할에 따라 삶을 구분하고 서로를 타자화 시키며 고립되어 가고 있는지도 모른다
새삼, 지금 내 주위를 둘러본다 나라는 닫힌 공간을 열고 내다본 도시에는 삶reality이 있다. 오늘도 나는 이 도시에서 사람과 세상을 만난다.
덧붙임_
나의 작업은 무서울 만큼 나와 닮아 있다.
무모와 도전, 불안과 확신, 책임과 자유 안에서 매번 갈등하고 고민한다.
하지만 무엇보다도 작가이기 전에 합리적인 사고와 창의적인 아름다움을 찾는 사람이 되려한다. 단순히 한 순간 시선을 끄는 작품이 아닌 감동과 따스함으로 오래 남을 수 있는 작업을 하는 사람이 되고 싶다. 2016 겨울 박소영
Lost in the city_도시에서 길을 잃다
여전히 길을 잃고 헤매는 나에게 고통, 절망, 기쁨 행복이 공존하고 교차하는 이곳 도시는 이상적인 공간은 아닐지도 모른다. 이 자유로운 북적거림의 벽 너머로 단순함과 담백함이 지배하는 공간이 자리잡고 있다. 그곳이 나의 도시다. 2017 봄 , 박소영
La Casa
For artwork to be placed and recognized, minimum space is needed. It is the similar reason when artworks are displayed too close to each other, it make audience choking. On the other hand, aside from what audience would feel, there is another reason. It is because that if Park's works are placed too densely or in a narrow space, audience cannot properly appreciate the characteristics and energy of the works. hence, Park gives a chance audience to concentrate on the works by managing enough space and putting a small table and chair in from of them.
Audience, in their minds. walk this way and that in the space and, in really, come to recognize themselves in the space extended from the space they have had in there minds. Park induces audience to experience this kind if moment. That is, she lets them multiple space at once. If you remind the multi_dimensional space, Stephen Hawking mentioned in 'the theory of parallel space', it will help you understand Park's work better. By this, Park expresses her desire to share with audience that feeling that she encountered herself in different space each time she creates her works. 2016 Sohyoung Park
